Good Morning.

Just a reminder that today is an Early Dismissal Day and students will be dismissed at 1255pm. Please be sure to have someone present at the Walker Door or the Bus Stop at the appropriate time to receive your child.

Monday, all Gloucester Township Public Schools are closed to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Make it a day of service. There will be events stemming out of CW Lewis Middle School if you are interested.

Have a great weekend!

Today, Glendora Elementary School was visited by K9 Axel from the Gloucester Township Police Department. K9 Axel is an award winning therapy dog recognized by the American Kennel Club. He is trained to sense those people who are experiencing anxiety. He visited with the students at recess and welcomed their presence and their petting. He was a good boy and the kids all loved it! This was the first step in building this support between the GTPD and Glendora Elementary School. We hope to have K9 Axel and his friends return to Glendora Elementary School in the future.

Food donations will also be accepted on MLK Day, January 19th, from 8 am to 10 am at the host site, CW Lewis Middle School. These food donations will support local food pantries in our community.

Thank you and we hope to see you on January 19th!

GLENDORA DROPOFF/PICKUP TRAFFIC SAFETY REMINDER

This week on our inclement weather days, we have had an increase in the number of cars traveling the wrong direction on Huntington Ave. We are reminding all families that for the safety of our Glendora School Community, all vehicle traffic should proceed down Huntington Ave. from Austin Ave. heading towards Station Ave. for dropoff and pickup. Please do not enter Huntington Ave. from the opposite direction and park or attempt a U-turn to go the correct direction. The goal of this traffic pattern is to keep everyone safe in the morning and afternoon during high volume traffic times. It also keeps the flow of traffic moving in the same direction which allows for vehicles to depart faster. Please make any family members who may drive your child to or from school aware of this expectation. Thank you for your support in ensuring the safety of our Glendora Family.

The holiday season sees many young people creating wishlists filled with tech-related gifts like smartphones, tablets, and gaming consoles; however, it's still important to maintain their online safety and digital wellness despite the festive excitement.
Use relaxed holiday downtime to bond with your child over tech activities, understand their online experiences, and balance screen time with tech-free activities.
