I hope all is well. I just wanted to remind everyone of a few things and also share the Title 1 JWL Reading Night Information:
1. Parent Pickup will resume at the normal locations on the recess field starting today.
2. Thursday, February 19 is the 100th Day of School. Everyone is asked to wear 80s attire to celebrate the 80 Days that are left. Evening Winter Conferences take place on Thursday as well.
3. Friday (2/20/26) is a ½ Day for all students due to Winter Report Card conferences.
4. Children’s author Rachelle Burk will be visiting JWL for our Title 1 Reading Night on March 4. Please see the attached flyer. More information is forthcoming. JWL Title 1 Night Flyer 3-4-26

Hello JWL 5th Grade Families,
I hope all is well. I just wanted to remind everyone that the 5th Grade "Always Changing" lesson will take place tomorrow (February 19). Since this is a part of the Health Curriculum, all students will participate in this lesson unless we receive the signed and returned opt out letter from the parent/guardian. It’s time to rally together for our Wildcat Fit Games Pawty fundraiser! Our goal is to raise $18,000 for HSA-sponsored events and PBIS student incentives, which will enhance our school’s resources and provide our students with an even better educational experience.
To make things even more exciting, if we raise $18,000, we will get to Slime the Principals. But there’s more: if 65% of our school registers we will have a crazy hat/hair day, the top class per grade earns a pizza party and the top 10 donating students overall will get to have pizza with Mr Homes. Plus this top class in 5th grade will earn a homework pass and extra recess!

4th and 5th Grade Instrumental Music Lessons will be resuming at JWL on Tuesday, January 20. 4th and 5th Band Students - bring your instruments next week on your lesson day! We will have a substitute band teacher starting who will fill in while Mr. Lane is out. We welcome Mr. Leeds, who is a substitute teacher and experienced instrumental instructor in the South Jersey area.
