GTES is organizing a fundraiser for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, an organization dedicated to helping find a cure for childhood cancer.
As part of this effort, we will be organizing a charity kickball game between our 5th-grade students and staff members. Any 5th-grade student or staff member who wishes to participate in the game will be asked to make a donation toward the cause.
In addition, students in grades K–4 who donate $1 or more will be permitted to wear a hat throughout the school day and will receive a ticket to attend and watch the kickball game.
Our schoolwide goal is to raise $500 to support childhood cancer research and families affected by childhood cancer. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a school community, have some fun, and support a meaningful cause that impacts so many children and families.
I encourage everyone to participate and help make this event a success. Thank you in advance for your support, enthusiasm, and willingness to help make a positive difference.
