Today at CW Lewis Middle School staff had day two of our underground spirit week. Today’s theme was “dress for anything but work” and drink from "anything but a cup.” We had so much fun! This, coupled with the amazing bundtlets donated from Nothing Bundt Cakes on Sicklerville Road, and gluten free desserts donated by Bleu Bear Bakery, really made our day! Thanks to Granny Rhodes for delivering the bundtlets to our staff! https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTknjDRfv/

Another amazing day at CW Lewis for Teacher Appreciation Week! Today's spirit dress day was "Soccer moms vs BBQ dads!"
Not Just Pizza donated breakfast pizzas and Boxwood Bagels and the Panza family donated bagels, both of which made our teachers feel so appreciated! What a fun way to celebrate our amazing staff!

We are so proud of the Drama Club students for their amazing performances on Tuesday night! Their hard work and dedication shined through as they performed flawlessly for family and friends!

Representing our local sports teams was the theme of today's sports day at CWL!

CWL Spirit Week 4/20-4/24!

What a Wednesday!! We had a great assembly led by Dream Catchers today! Student relays and basketball races filled the gym with music and laughter! Then Mr. Carmichael and Mr. Dougherty battled it out in a free throw competition where Mr. Dougherty took home the win!

Teamwork makes the dream work! The CW Lewis Lady Indiana softball team has a way to make the MVP of each game feel special. Designed by Sadie Edginton, and a teammate, this hat will be worn by the most deserving player after each game. Great job celebrating your teammates!

Thank you to John Hunt and the GT Police Department for bringing Jolene, your loving therapy dog, to CW Lewis today. The students and staff truly appreciate these visits ❤️

Thank you to the PBIS and Lewis Cares Club for another successful student rally! The students vs staff basketball game is always fun and exciting, but this year it was even better with several of our own GT Police Department's finest joining in!
We also enjoyed amazing performances by our superb cheerleading squad and fabulous step team! It was a great way to end the week!

A big thank you to Mrs. Iannaco, Mr. O’Brien, and all of the GT musical and band teachers for an incredible performance by the GT Honors Band and Honors Choir last night! Your dedication, talent, and hard work truly shined through and made the evening so special. We are so proud of our amazing students and grateful for the teachers who inspire them every day. 🎶👏

Do you own a local business or know someone who does, who would be willing to donate a gift card, basket, service, food, etc. to me for teacher appreciation week? The staff at CW Lewis Middle School in Blackwood is amazing and our administration and TAW committee would really like them to feel appreciated!
(I can provide a letter on letterhead and tax exempt info if your business requires it)
Please email me at: athies@gloucestertownshipschools.org
I would need all donations by 4/30 to be ready by 5/4.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration!

Officer Thomas was making his morning rounds at CW Lewis Middle School when he noticed tiny green footprints leading into the main office.
He called in the building administration, and together they quietly surrounded the room.
“Ready?” whispered Principal Otten.
“Ready,” Officer Thomas nodded.
They stepped in—and got him! A tiny leprechaun was caught mid-mischief, tossing papers and leaving glitter everywhere.
Vice Principal Mr. Carmichael crossed his arms. “Not so fast—you’ve got some cleaning to do.”
“Hey! It was just a little fun!” the leprechaun protested.
“Not in our school,” Officer Thomas said with a smile. “Around here, we take pride in respect and responsibility.”
With a little teamwork (and a touch of magic), the leprechaun helped clean up every last bit.
Before vanishing, he posed for a photo, gave Officer Thomas a lucky shamrock, and grinned, “Alright, alright… I’ll behave… at least at CW Lewis!”
✨ And ever since, the halls have been just a little more magical—and a lot more respectful.
