Across the country American Education Week will be held from November 17th – 21st . Schools will celebrate excellence in education by hosting events and activities. The Chews faculty and staff invite you to visit us and be a part of your child’s educational experience. The schedules for classroom visitations are as follows:
Monday, November 17th:
Preschool 10:30 – 11:30
Kindergarten 9:00 – 9:40
First Grade 9:20 – 10:00
Second Grade 10:00 – 11:00
Fourth Grade: (Blake, VanAuken) 9am-9:40
Tuesday, November 18th:
Third Grade 9:00 – 9:40
Fourth Grade (Leone, McFarland, Reyes) 10:10 – 11:00
Fifth Grade 12:00-12:45pm

Also, please be reminded that parent/teacher conferences are scheduled for November 19th , 20th , and 21st . On these days our students will follow the half day schedule. School will close at 12:50 PM for students in Grades K-5 and at 1:30 PM for preschool. Conferences for grades K-5 will begin at 1:30 PM and Preschool at 2:00 PM.

Chews Elementary School staff and students would once again like to thank you for serving our country and protecting our freedom. We cordially invite our brave men and women from all branches of the military to join our students for a day of patriotic activities. You may come dressed in uniform or bring in a uniform, medals, military coins, or other memorabilia to discuss with the students and share your experiences. You could also be a guest reader of a patriotic story or possibly help with a craft.

Paper orders can also be turned into school on Monday. Please make sure the order and accurate payment is in a sealed envelope and labeled with your child's name and "Joe Corbi" so the office knows to give it to the FSA.

Please remember to sign into the Parent Portal to complete all forms for this school year (photo release, field trip forms, etc.), and check to ensure all contact information is up to date for your child. We love to post photos of your kiddos learning and having fun at school, but need your permission to do so : )
