🎓 Last Day of School! 🎓
🍎 Important Reminder for Thursday, June 18:
Breakfast will be available as usual in the cafeteria.
NO LUNCH will be served.
Thank you for a wonderful school year! We wish all of our students and families a safe, happy, and relaxing summer! ☀️

Tomorrow, Tuesday June 2nd, will be our last Positivi-TEE Tuesday of the year! Please encourage your kiddos to participate.

As the weather gets warmer, we absolutely want to encourage students to stay hydrated throughout the day! To help keep our classrooms clean and pest-free, we kindly ask that only water bottles be brought into classrooms.
Any other beverages should only be brought for lunch time in the cafeteria and must remain in a sealed container until lunchtime.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in helping us maintain a clean and healthy learning environment for all students!

A huge thank you to our amazing school counselors, parent visitors, and community members for making Chews' 2nd Annual Career Day such a success!
On May 1st, students had the opportunity to learn about a variety of careers through engaging classroom visits and presentations. This is just a sampling of the many visitors who generously shared their time, experiences, and passion with our students.
In conjunction with Career Day, our teachers and staff also celebrated College Decision Day by proudly wearing their college gear. It’s never too early to spark curiosity and inspire future educational and career pathways for our students!
Special thanks to our counselors, Mrs. Aita and Mrs. Foote, for organizing this meaningful event and to Nothing Bundt Cakes for providing a sweet treat for our visitors. We truly appreciate everyone who helped make the day so special!

Chews will hold our annual Art Night on Thursday, May 14th from 6pm-7:30. Come take a stroll and view our students' artwork adorning the halls!

Each year, the Gloucester Township Support Professionals Association (GTSPA) recognizes outstanding Educational Support Professionals from across the district for their dedication and contributions to their schools and the Gloucester Township community as a whole.
Last night, Chews Elementary was proud to celebrate Kim Corsoe, our daytime building custodian, for going above and beyond in keeping our school safe and clean.
Thank you, Kim, for all that you do for our students, staff, and families each and every day. We appreciate you!

As we approach the end of the school year, our Lost & Found is filling up with many unclaimed items.
Please take a moment to remind your child to check the Lost & Found for any missing belongings. We encourage students to look through the items as soon as possible.
Any items that are not claimed by the end of the school year will be donated.
Thank you for your help in clearing out these items!

Please see below from our FSA:
Hi 5th Grade Parents!
Just a friendly reminder that dance money is due no later than 4/16/26. Please be sure to send your payment via Venmo @chews-fsa-1 and submit your forms by then.
If you haven’t sent your Venmo yet, please do so ASAP. And if you’ve already Venmoed but haven’t turned in your form, please make sure to get that in as well.
Thank you so much!

Save the date! Chews will hold our annual Art Night on Thursday, May 14th from 6pm-7:30. Come take a stroll and view our students' artwork adorning the halls!

We kindly ask for your support in ensuring that students do not bring squishy toys or any items with soft or gel-like filling to school. While these toys can be fun, we have recently had several instances where they have broken during the school day. When this happens, the sticky filling creates a mess that is very difficult to clean from classroom surfaces and clothing, and it also poses a risk of damaging Chromebooks and other instructional materials.
To help us maintain a clean and safe learning environment for all students, we ask that these types of items be kept at home.
Thank you for your understanding and continued partnership!

On Monday, April 20th, Chews students will blow bubbles outside for Autism Awareness. Later, we will all go outside to form a human rainbow. Please have your student wear the color assigned to their grade level, listed on the attached flier.
