Baseball- Interscholastic competition at its best. One day you may be in the big leagues! Glove and spikes required. Basketball-Girls & Boys- Interscholastic action! A.A.M. vs. neighboring middle schools. Cheerleading-Girls & Boys- Cheer the Mullen Jaguars to victory. The most “spirited” squad at school. Field Hockey- Developed from ice hockey. The rules and equipment changed when the game was played on a field similar to soccer.The popularity of field hockey is spreading. Soccer-Girls & Boys- The next Pele’ will surely develop out of this program. Softball-Girls & Boys- Interscholastic action! A.A.M. vs. neighboring middle schools. Track-Girls & Boys- You may find yourself on a “Wheaties” box- running, jumping, throwing. Interscholastically they’re tough! Clubs
Art Club/Art Xtra- You create the “art” work on a project, fulfill a dream. Anything is possible! Beautifying Ann A. Mullen is in. Band- Refine your instrumental talents as part of a performing group. Lessons, instruments, and professionalism all part of this package. Chess Club – Try your skill against others in friendly chess matches. Choir- Vocal performances by two outstanding groups -sixth grade and seventh/eight grade choir. Always a big hit in the community at the holidays! Drama Club- Here, the Mullen “Stars” shine bright. Stage productions to mini skits; they’re all headed for Broadway. Drill Team- Provides the rhythm for the Jaguar spirit at all of the home sporting events. Gamerz- Do you like video games? What is your favorite? Want to develop your own game concept? If so, join our club! Guitar- Guitar Club is a small group of students who share songs, ideas and techniques for the guitar to further enhance their abilities and enjoyment of this great instrument. Helping Hands- School beautification is the priority here! This is definitely a “hands-on” activity. Hero- Here’s your chance to be a true HERO to others through community service projects. Help encourage respect for others! Jaguar Journal- A.A.M. Mullen’s version of “The Planet.” Hot stories, news flashes, all the Mullen news that’s fit to print. Library Club- Shhh! Assist the librarian. You won’t believe all that has to be done. Mascots- As a member of the crew you will be asked a variety of school functions and will have a number of responsibilities. The Mullen Jaguar helps get the crowd involved in various activities and shows school spirit. Men Of Distinction-Our Mullen men learn to develop leadership, character, integrity, discipline, self-control, academic excellence, and community service. Math Counts- Develop your math skills to participate in a middle school math competition. National Junior Honor Society- 7th and 8th grade students can be selected for this important service organization based on scholarship, leadership, citizenship, service, and character. Novel Ideas-Club members vote and select popular young adult fiction from all genres as well as contemporary literacy pieces to read and discuss in a “book club” format. We meet twice a month for food, fun and conversation about books! Peer Mediation- Trained students lead classmates through a 6-step process to help resolve disputes. Renaissance Club- Participate in this club to plan and decorate for Renaissance Rallies and other Renaissance events. Safety Patrol- 7th and 8th grade watchful eyes assisting with transportation and school safety programs. A challenging responsibility and lots of fun too! Science Club- Like science? Challenge yourself and participate in science competitions. Sisters Of Respect- Our Mullen ladies learn the proper etiquette for dressing, eating, dining out and speaking. We also work on conflict resolution. Interscholastic Action!- A.A.M. vs. neighboring middle schools. Stock Market Club- Club members will gain an understanding of how individuals can become owners of a business by purchasing stock and learn the benefits of saving and investing rather than spending. Student Government- A true service organization in every sense of the word. Future leaders of America are surely found here. Video Club- Learn to operate various pieces of video equipment and work to record various school activities and events during the year. W.A.A.M.- “The Voice of Mullen” broadcasts each morning from Sicklerville, NJ. They’ve sure got the scoop. Yearbook Club – Paparazzo, creating layouts, just a few of the many tasks in developing this masterpiece. Here, memories are captured forever. Be The Change Club – Be part of the change, promoting respect for others in our school.
