The mission of James W. Lilley School is to provide a safe and educationally stimulating environment for all students. We offer a wide variety of opportunities and experiences designed to develop the whole student…academically, emotionally, and socially. Pride is taken in our highly qualified teachers, who work to implement researched based instructional strategies to promote student achievement within our diverse community.

Additionally, classroom practices and instructional strategies are developed and implemented in alignment with New Jersey’s Core Curriculum Content Standards. Professional development opportunities for staff are on going through in-services, workshops and instructional coaching. We utilize an integrated Literacy program that includes reading, language, writing, spelling, and phonics. Activity-oriented science and a spiraling social studies series are also used as we prepare children for a challenging future.  We now offer the Everyday Math Program in grades K-5.  By utilizing a web-based student information system, parents have a portal into our school. Collectively we share the responsibility of educating the whole child.
