 Fall After School Clubs

Art Club
Miss Mattson's Art Club will be learning about the sculptor, Claes Oldenburg and then creating their very own over-sized sculpture of an everyday object. The club will also be learning about pop artist, Jasper Johns. The abstract collage that they create after learning about Johns will be shown at Chews's Barnes and Noble night!
Computer Club
Mrs. Camardo is offering a computer club for fourth grade students. We will be using a new website, Lunapic, to create animated pictures and other projects that we are not able to complete in a larger class setting. They will also be using the camera and the scanner to personalize their own calendars.
Chess Club
Mrs. Smithis offering a Chess Club. Students will be grouped by abilty; beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Beginners and intermediate levels will be taught all aspects: chess piece names, how each moves and then I will proceed to chess strategies for intermediate and advance players.
Clubs will meet every Wednesday starting September 30th and continue until November25th. |
